Comparative Caloric Expenditure
Body Beam® and StairMaster©


Summary


The results of this study indicate that for unconditioned new users, the Unified Movement recommended on The Body Beam®, can produce greater calorie burn than when doing double the number of repetitions on the StairMaster©.

Based on these studies, a number of logical claims is suggested.

1. "In the same amount of time a new user can burn more calories on the Body Beam© than they can on the StairMaster©."
2. "A new user can burn more calories in a shorter time on the Body Beam® than they can on the StairMaster©."
3. "It takes more than twice as many repetitions on the StairMaster© to equal the number of calories burned on the Body Beam®."
